For those who haven't already seen it, Nintendo has unveiled a new chunk of info on the upcoming 3DS handheld. To get everything in full detail, check out this thread on gbatemp: http://gbatemp.net/t257517-nintendo-announce-3ds-launch-details
For the cliffnote version:
-The release date in Japan is February 26, 2011; sometime in March for the rest of the world
-The price will be approximately $300 USD (yeesh)
-It will feature a Virtual Console for Gameboy and Gameboy Advance games.
-More extensive WiFi, such as a 'tag mode' which will be active when the system is asleep and even when not playing the same game
-It will, of course, feature an Internet Browser
-You will be able to transfer your previously owned DSiWare
-The 3DS will feature a Mii system where you can create a Mii simply by taking someone's picture
It's looking nice. And as nice as it looks, I fear I won't be buying one at launch on account of the price; especially considering I'll need to be paying off my student loan soon enough.
Yeah i'm not getting one either
