I like musicals. I like adult humour. I like Sesame Street. Avenue Q is basically all of that in one and it's awesome.
So, for those who don't know about the show, Avenue Q is a stage musical that's been around for somewhere around 9 years now and it's the source of the famous song, 'The Internet is for Porn'.
Other songs include 'It Sucks to Be Me', 'Schadenfreude', and 'Everyone's a Little Bit Racist'.
So, for a couple years now, I've been wanting to see Avenue Q and had assumed I wouldn't get the chance until sometime quite a bit later on since, as a show on broadway, it typically only shows in cities like New York. As it turns out though, this month, a theater in Windsor has been putting on the show and I took the chance without a second thought and saw it last week.
It was great.
The Kordazone Theater wasn't anything too fancy and was a bit underwhelming after having watched a few clips of the actual broadway performance, but the cast played the show itself very well.
In other news, months after the song was leaked, the newest episode of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic finally turned out to be the one that featured 'Smile, Smile, Smile'.
